The leadership of the North Carolina Quality Center (NCQC) and the NC Hospital Association recognizes the importance and added value offered by the voice of patients, their family and caregivers. We are seeking additional patient family advisors and other individuals with similar interest and experience to serve on the Patient & Family Advisory Council (PFAC). The time commitment on this council would help us:
- Remain close to the voice of the health care consumer as we develop programs and services for NC hospitals and other healthcare organizations.
- Build a bridge between North Carolina healthcare professionals and community members by encouraging patients/families to be activated in their personal care and support efforts around patient and family engagement.
- Set the pace for other hospital associations and statewide healthcare organizations on how to engage patients and families in the planning, implementing and evaluation of programs and services.
